1.3 Email Communications
If you email us at support@voxettalabs.com or privacy@voxettalabs.com, we will use your email address solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to mailing lists, share your email with third parties, or use it for marketing without your explicit consent.
1.4 No Data Selling, Ever
1.5 No Advertising
Voxetta Labs does not serve advertising in any of its products. We do not integrate advertising SDKs, ad networks, or data brokers. There are no sponsored placements or paid promotional content in any Voxetta Labs app.
Part 2 β Gear-Life App
Specific privacy practices for the Gear-Life iOS application
2.1 Data Stored On Your Device
All Gear-Life data β your shoe closet, run history, CSS scores, insole records, and settings β is stored locally on your device and optionally synced to your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit framework. Voxetta Labs cannot access this data.
- No Gear-Life user data is stored on Voxetta Labs servers
- iCloud sync uses your personal Apple ID β the data belongs to you
- Deleting the app removes all local data; iCloud data can be deleted via iPhone Settings
2.2 Apple HealthKit
Gear-Life requests access to Apple HealthKit to read workout activity, heart rate, HRV, sleep data, and resting heart rate. This data powers gear tracking, foam health calculations, recovery intelligence, and Sage's advisor responses.
- HealthKit data is processed on-device only β never transmitted to Voxetta Labs
- HealthKit data is never used for advertising or sold to any party
- We comply fully with Apple's HealthKit data use requirements and guidelines
- You can revoke HealthKit access at any time in iPhone Settings > Privacy > Health
2.3 Sage β AI Gear Advisor
Sage is Gear-Life's AI gear advisor. Sage runs entirely on Apple Intelligence β fully on-device, fully private. No queries, no gear data, and no conversation history is ever transmitted to Voxetta Labs or any external server.
2.4 Ultrahuman Ring Integration (Optional)
If you choose to connect an Ultrahuman ring, Gear-Life uses Ultrahuman's OAuth sign-in flow, relayed through a secure Voxetta Labs proxy server hosted on Cloudflare, to authorize the connection.
- The proxy handles only the OAuth token exchange β it never sees or stores your fitness, sleep, HRV, or recovery data
- Once connected, ring data syncs directly from Ultrahuman's API to your device
- Ultrahuman access tokens are stored locally on your device only
- Ultrahuman activity data is not transmitted to or stored on Voxetta Labs servers
- You can disconnect Ultrahuman at any time in Gear-Life Settings > Connected Services
2.5 Strava Integration (Optional)
If you choose to connect Strava, Gear-Life requests read-only access to your Strava activity data to import workouts for gear tracking.
- We request activity:read_all scope only β read access to activities, never write access
- We never post to your Strava account or access segments, clubs, or followers
- Strava access tokens are stored locally on your device only
- Strava activity data is not transmitted to Voxetta Labs servers
- You can disconnect Strava at any time in Gear-Life Settings
2.6 Location and Weather
Gear-Life requests location permission to display current weather conditions in the app header. Your approximate location is sent to Open-Meteo, a free open-source weather API, to retrieve the forecast. This request does not include any personal identifiers.
- Location is used only for weather β never for tracking, advertising, or profiling
- Location data is not stored by Voxetta Labs
- You can deny location permission and the app remains fully functional
2.7 Notifications
Gear-Life uses local push notifications for workout detection alerts, foam health thresholds, and periodic gear briefings. These notifications are generated on-device β no notification data passes through Voxetta Labs servers.
2.8 App Store Privacy Nutrition Labels

- HealthKit data is never used for advertising or sold to any party
- You can revoke HealthKit access at any time in iPhone Settings > Privacy > Health
3.3 Voice Transcription

3.4 Location
Moments requests location permission for two purposes: to display current weather conditions in the app header (sent to Open-Meteo, no personal identifiers), and to tag the location of a journal entry when you explicitly choose to add one. Location is never tracked passively or stored by Voxetta Labs.
3.5 Camera and Photos
Moments requests camera access to capture photos and short videos directly into your journal entries. Photo library access is requested when you import existing photos. All media is stored locally and in your iCloud account β never on Voxetta Labs servers.
3.6 Gear-Life Bridge
When Gear-Life is installed on the same device and signed into the same iCloud account, Moments reads your shoe closet data from a shared App Group container. This data transfer occurs entirely on-device. No data passes through Voxetta Labs servers.
3.7 Sage AI Reflections
Moments includes Sage, an on-device journal companion that generates a short reflection after you save a moment. Sage reflections in Moments are generated entirely on-device using curated response libraries built into the app.
- No journal content is transmitted to Voxetta Labs or any external service for Sage reflections
- No external AI services (including Google Gemini or any cloud AI) are used by Moments
- Sage uses your activity type, mood, and effort to select an appropriate reflection from an on-device library
- Your journal data never leaves your device for AI processing
3.8 Social Share Layer
Moments includes a share composer that allows you to export journal moments as images, collages, or videos to share on social platforms. All compositing and rendering is done on-device using Apple's Core Image and AVFoundation frameworks.
- Exported images and videos are generated locally on your device
- No content is uploaded to Voxetta Labs servers for processing
- Sharing is done via iOS native share sheet β Moments does not post directly to any social platform
- The "Made in Moments" brand mark included in exports identifies the app without transmitting any data

- No personal information is collected β no name, email, phone number, or device identifier
- No HealthKit data, journal content, voice transcripts, photos, or location data is included in analytics
- Events tracked include app opens, moment captures (mode only, no content), and feature usage

3.11 No In-App Purchases
Moments is completely free. There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or paid features. All functionality is available to every user at no cost. Voxetta Labs does not receive any payment information related to Moments.

Part 4 β Journey Hunt App
Specific privacy practices for the Journey Hunt iOS application
4.1 What Journey Hunt Is
Journey Hunt is a real-time multiplayer scavenger hunt game for families, road trips, hikes, parks, and everyday adventures. Players join games using a 4-character code and compete to find items on a shared list. No account creation or personal login is required to play.
4.2 Anonymous Authentication
Journey Hunt uses Firebase Anonymous Authentication to identify players within a game session. This creates a random anonymous user ID β no name, email, phone number, or any personal identifier is required or collected during sign-in.
- Your anonymous user ID is stored in your device's secure Keychain to maintain continuity across app reinstalls
- This ID is used solely to track your game history and identify you within a game session
- It is never linked to your Apple ID, email, or any personal account
- It is never used for advertising or sold to any third party
4.3 Game Data
Journey Hunt stores game session data in Firebase Firestore to enable real-time multiplayer. This includes:
- The display name you choose when joining a game (e.g. "Harvey" or "Uncle Bob") β this is visible to other players in your game session
- Your chosen avatar icon and score within a game session
- Chat messages you send during a game
- Items you mark as found, including timestamps
- A host game creation counter tied to your anonymous ID
Game session data is stored in Firebase Firestore and is not linked to any personal identity. Voxetta Labs does not review, analyze, or sell this data.
4.4 Photo Capture (Honor System)
Journey Hunt verifies scavenger hunt finds on the honor system. When a player marks an item found, they may optionally snap a photo to share the moment with their group in the in-game chat.
- Photos are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored off your device
- Photos are not sent to Voxetta Labs, Google, Cloudflare, or any third party
- Photos are not used for automated verification of any kind
- Voxetta Labs has no access to any photo taken in the app
4.5 Camera Access
Journey Hunt requests camera access only if a player chooses to take a photo when marking an item found. Camera access is never active in the background and is not used for any purpose other than this optional, on-device photo capture.
4.6 Sage β AI Game Host
Sage is Journey Hunt's AI personality who lives in the game chat. Sage sends automated commentary based on game events β player joins, item finds, score changes, and timer alerts. Sage messages are generated from curated response libraries stored in the app and are sent via Firebase to the shared game chat. Sage does not process or analyze player chat messages.
4.7 In-App Purchases
Journey Hunt is free to download and free to use. Journey Hunt has no in-app purchases. All hunt template packs, hosting, and gameplay features are available at no cost to every player and host. Voxetta Labs does not receive or store any payment information.
4.8 App Store Privacy Nutrition Labels
Journey Hunt's App Store listing includes privacy nutrition labels disclosing: User ID (anonymous Firebase UID) and Gameplay Content (display name, chat messages, game activity). Photos are never collected, transmitted, or stored off-device. All data is classified as Data Not Linked to You and used for App Functionality only.
Part 5 β General
Children's privacy, your rights, policy changes, and contact information
5.1 Children's Privacy
Voxetta Labs products are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Gear-Life and Moments require Apple Health access, which Apple restricts for users under 13 without parental consent through Family Sharing controls. Journey Hunt is a family game designed to be played with parental supervision. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at privacy@voxettalabs.com and we will promptly delete it.
5.2 Your Rights
Because Voxetta Labs does not collect or store personal data on our servers, most traditional data rights (access, correction, deletion) are exercised directly on your device. Specifically:
- Delete Moments or Gear-Life to remove all local app data
- Delete Journey Hunt to remove all local app data; anonymous Firebase game data expires naturally after sessions end
- Use Moments Settings > Privacy & Data to export or delete all journal data
- Revoke HealthKit access in iPhone Settings at any time
- Delete iCloud data via iPhone Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Storage
- Opt out of analytics in Moments Settings > Privacy & Data > Usage Analytics
- Contact privacy@voxettalabs.com for any other privacy requests
5.3 Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our products evolve. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We will notify users of significant changes through in-app notices when appropriate. Continued use of Voxetta Labs products after policy changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
